Aspire Pilates background and beliefs
I have been involved in the fitness/health& sport profession for approximately 18 years now. I started teaching fitness classes and coached sporting people in my teens. Since moving from Sweden 14 years ago I have taught fitness classes on the Australian Surfcoast where I run my own Personal Training/Pilates/Remedial Massage Therapy business for the last 7 years (Aspire Health & Personal Training). I come from a sporting background – used to row internationally (representing Sweden). As I started working in the fitness industry in Australia I got the opportunity to develop Australia’s first Boathouse Rowing program (Indoor Rowing). I presented this program at a number of Australian Fitness Conventions.
I believe the Principles of Pilates are principles should be applied to all exercise activities to ensure that results are achieved and performed in such ways so it prevents an unbalanced body which are more likely to experience injuries. To fully engage your mind and to focus on the results you want to achieve will bring the results you are after. This way of exercises will also relax and rejuvenate the mind.
